Aww!
I really really want to watch it again! Not in telesync (quality is damned horrible) but in the DVD! Maybe in BR, too, once external USB BR players are out in a cheap price.

I bet the "Spock Prime and Sarek Alternate" deleted scene, and the gag reel will make up for all that waiting: After all, the DVD will be released by Paramount, not the Square Enix localization team. (Which, as noted by a classmate, is the only thing slower than ExDeath of Dissidia)

Trek XII spculations:
I'm hoping it won't be horrible: 12 is my fave number, it's an even number, and it's not a multiple of five*, or an odd number**.

* Multiple of fives, IMO, take the lowest hit in the Star Trek films. See Final Frontier and Nemesis.
** ...duh?

I've been hearing a lot of "Khan" in Trek XII. I hope they won't add Khan. Leave Khan in the prime universe. Maybe throw him in a novel or something, but not in the big screen again. Trek II was wonderful, but leave it there. The Prime Universe is for the Trekkers.

I also heard "Mudd." What's next? "Charlie Evans?" "T'au?" "Sybok?!" "Shinzon?!" (I hope not, seriously, but that's never gonna happen, huh?) Heck, why not "Picard?" Make 'em discover "Data" earlier. "Borg," dammit! "V'Ger?" The "Whale Probe?" "Q?"


I did have a story speculation:
Why not have a short flashback in the opening of Trek XII? Have Q save George Kirk, Sr., before the Kelvin goes kaboom. Hand him over to the Borg. Make him live.

Give him an alias.

Darth Vader.

Make him fight the new Enterprise.

At the bridge, have him say "I am you father" to Jim.

Have Jim go "No... That's not true... That's impossible!"

Why not make Spock Prime to a "Yoda" to Spock Alternate?


Or just have Q. I wanna see Q on that IMAX screen, dammit!
